Bright Beach Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Charlee reached out to me for help when the original silk bridal bouquet she ordered from a different florist didn’t live up to her expectations. While there were some elements of her purchase that she liked, it pretty much needed to be remade. I started sending her options of what I could add to it and how I could reshape it to bring her vision to life. What we ended up designing together is a stunner of a bouquet for her tropical wedding last year. Let’s take a look at the photos by Silverfox Studios of New York.

Charlee’s bouquet needed to stand out on such a big and beautiful back drop. Her modified cascade bridal bouquet was a mix of blue Hydrangea, orange Hibiscus and Orchids, flame Succulents, pink Peonies, green Hydrangea, Gloriosa lilies, yellow Roses, Cymbidium orchids, red and green Anthurium and a whole bunch of tropical foliage. She loved the idea of trailing ribbon, so we finished off the bouquet with a ribbon wrap and tails.

Thanks for my amazing wedding bouquet; so pretty and bright, exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for making the time to re-do my original bouquet that I had made. You made my day very happy once I received what I imagined it to look like : ) The guests all loved my bouquet and commented that it was very beautiful, unique and stunning.

Charlee had ordered bridesmaid bouquets prior to working with me and I loved how she had chosen to go simple with white flowers and greenery so that their varying shades of dress colors would stand out.

She also sent me this photo of how she displays her bouquet at home. I love the branch full of shells and beach glass to go with it!

Tropical Silk Bridal Bouquet Recreation & Review

Rounding out the end of Recreation Week is this stunner of a bouquet from a Mexico destination wedding. One of the great things about going somewhere is you get the benefit of all the special things of that location. In this case, this luscious tropical bouquet. What you give up is not being able to bring back your flowers to preserve. Kelsey’s bouquet had to be left behind, so she contacted me just a few days after getting home from her wedding to ask about having her bouquet recreated in silk wedding flowers. Take a look at the end product!

Recreating a Reality Show Bridal Bouquet in Silk Wedding Flowers

Tiffany emailed me photos of her tropical destination wedding bridal bouquet to find out if I could recreate it for her with silk wedding flowers. The more I emailed with her, the more interesting things got! You see, Tiffany’s wedding appeared on a reality show called: My Great Big Lifetime Wedding. How cool is that? Armed with the pictures she sent me, her memories from the big day and a list from the florist, I got to work tracking down all the various flowers and tropical greens I would need to recreate this very large, very beautiful bouquet. Take a look!

Scale can be hard to represent in a photo, but this bouquet landed somewhere between “large and in charge” and behemoth.

The bouquet included: pink Protea, orange Orchids, white and blue Tweedea, Ranunculus, Gloriosa lilies, green and white Cymbidium orchids, Monstera leaves, variegated lily grass and a touch of jumbo white heather.

I am so impressed with the recreation of my wedding bouquet that Love is Blooming created for me! It replicates the original bouquet so beautifully! Every time I look at my bouquet it brings me back to my special day! Thank you Erin for helping me to relive my wedding day through your beautiful work. The proteas are my favorite, they stuck out to me on my wedding day bouquet, and they’re my favorite part of my recreated bouquet.

Tropical Bridal Bouquet and Matching Silk Flower Arrangements

Whether you are traveling for a destination wedding or live in Florida like this bride, tropical silk wedding flowers bring the color and brightness to any summer wedding.

For this silk bridal bouquet I used a variety of very tropical flowers (and a few more common) in a modified cascade style bouquet. Not sure what that even is? Maybe that’s because I made that term up 😄. If you like the look of a looser, draping bouquet but aren’t a fan of the tight teardrop shape of a traditional cascading bouquet, then the modified cascade is where it’s at! Greenery and more linear flowers help give the draping and branching effect along with space between flowers so you can admire each one.

This bouquet includes King Protea, pincushion Protea, Peonies, Calla Lilies, Phalaenopsis Orchids and Heliconia along with grasses, Monstera and other tropical foliage. This baby was large and in charge and also breathtaking. That’s a lot to ask of one bouquet, but she pulled it off!

For the bridesmaid bouquet, I pared it back and utilized the Peonies, Protea, Calla Lilies and Heliconia along with grasses and mini Monstera. And since it was still quite snowy when I put these bouquets together, they got their first and only taste of winter for this outdoor photo shoot before they traveled to Florida for their debut.

We kept the boutonnieres simple with a yellow and pink Phalaenopsis Orchid, greens and a few grass loops for the groom. A bit of ribbon that matched the bouquets and we were all done!

Silk Bridal Bouquet Recreation and Substitutions

When Christopher emailed me photos of his wife’s bouquet, I knew I was up for a challenge. The colors and variety of flower were stunningly beautiful, but also unique. There were peachy roses, a bit of ivory Hydrangea, pink/purple Waxflower, Veronica, tropical grass and greenery, a teal accent flower and the elusive Leucodendron. I knew there were going to be a couple of items that were going to be tricky to find for this silk bridal bouquet recreation, and in the end a substitution would need to be made. But take a look at the end result of this awesome bouquet recreation!

This bouquet was both a unique shape and composition and one that challenged me in some new and exciting ways! I couldn’t find the right shape of rose bud, so I found a peony bud that made the perfect stand in. Then, that Leucodendron stared me down in all it’s burgundy glory. I couldn’t find one that was the right size or color, so I put on my crafty thinking cap and came up with a plan. To get it just right, I had to piece together several of the same type of flower and dye it to the right shade to get just the right look. Sometimes it takes some extra creativity, but it’s always worth it in the end!

This stunner made it’s way to a military base in Japan for a sweet anniversary gift! If you are looking for just the right anniversary gift, a bridal bouquet recreation in silk flowers is absolutely the right choice! Lily Silk Wedding Bouquet Recreation

Jordan emailed me photos of his wife’s beautiful wedding bouquet. He mentioned that he didn’t think it was the most wide variety of flowers, so we worked especially hard to get all those other details just right. Lilies, Alstroemeria and Roses were the only flowers in the bouquet, but a tropical mix of greenery and that amazing bow shaped it up into an awesome bouquet recreation!

Here is that beautiful, tropical beauty of a bouquet! Photos from: Edoo Photography

Erin’s work exceeded my expectations. My wife’s bouquet wasn’t as intricate as some I’ve seen so I was worried that a recreation might not have the “character” of the original, but Erin was able to match so much of the small details that it came out looking just like the real thing. Erin’s turnaround time was great, as was her communication throughout the process. I’m very happy with how it all turned out, as is my wife.

Tropical Wedding Reception Back Home

Hearing back from my clients is always such a treat. Take a look at these beautiful photos and read about Caitlyn's story here.

Hey Erin,

It’s been a little while, but I just wanted to let you know that your bouquet was a total hit at my Hawaiian-themed reception back in November. None of the guests had any clue that it wasn’t real, and everyone was amazed with your quality of work (including myself)!

The bouquet is proudly displayed on my mantle now, and it brings me so much happiness every time I look at it. Thank you for bringing that tropical piece of my wedding back to life for me. You’re awesome!
