Burnt Orange, Terra Cotta, Nude, White and Beige Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal

This last year, I had the fun task of working Orange and Terra Cotta into a variety of weddings. I absolutely loved the creativity that my bride’s brought with their ideas. And I’m excited to share Ashley’s burnt orange, terra cotta, nude, white and beige silk wedding flowers. Her arrangements were full of texture and interest and were lovely additions to her November wedding. Let’s take a look at some photos from her very talented photographer Christina Jo Photography!

Ashley’s bouquet was a teardrop cascade style with a mix of beige baby's breath, terra cotta, rust and nude Roses, white Bamboo, mini pampas and larger pampas. If you look in the photo above, it was a perfect accent to both her wedding dress and her groom’s unique sport coat. Don’t you love the beige and plaid detail?

Let’s talk for a minute about Pampas grass. It’s a super popular and lovely addition to wedding florals, but it sheds like crazy! Unless you want to have it all over your dress, your groom’s tux or any other fabric in your general vicinity, faux Pampas is a great alternative. There is no allergy risk, no shedding and it’s not as delicate as the real stuff.

Thanks again to Ashley for sharing these lovely images of her custom bridal bouquet in silk flowers for her big day. Do you have your eye on this color palette? Or maybe you were considering Pampas in your wedding flowers? Jewel Tone Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal

Getting to work with local couples is always fun because I get to meet them in person when they pick up their flowers. And if I’m really lucky, I get to run into them in the wild, like I did at my son’s basketball tournament recently! Amber was so easy to work with to create her custom silk wedding flower designs and so it was extra fun to see her again and meet her husband and their sweet kiddos in a school gym, of all places! She had just sent me these photos a few days before, so it was great timing to be able to share their wedding day with you! Let’s take a look at these awesome photos by Abigail Niemann Photography.

Our happy couple who look like they are having the best day ever in these pictures! Amber’s bouquet was a teardrop cascade style with a mix of emerald green Roses, white Lilies, purple Mums, burgundy and magenta Roses, cream Ranunculus, berry Tea Roses, Succulents, Lamb’s Ear and Eucalyptus. I loved this color combination, especially with that pop of magenta in there!

The bridesmaids carried similar bouquets in a smaller handtied style. We did simplify them so that only the bridal bouquet had Liles and Succulents. That just meant Amber’s bouquet stood out even more!

I love the celebration here!

Plum, Blush, Rose Gold, Navy and White Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

I love today’s color palette of plum, blush, rose gold, navy and white silk wedding flowers and bridal bouquet. This moody look can work with any season, a ceremony at any time of day and looks great indoors or outdoors. You’re going to see what I’m talking about with these photos of Jessica’s custom silk wedding flowers by Michael Anderson Photography.

Here’s our happy couple! Jessica’s bouquet was a round ball style bouquet with a mix of white Garden Roses, plum Tea Roses, navy Garden Roses, mauve Peonies, and one navy Magnolia as a feature flower. We wanted a color that would bridge the darks and lights so we incorporated some magenta purple Ranunculus to create a nice blend. Jessica didn’t want greenery to be a focal but she wanted a touch, so we added a light collar of Silver Dollar Eucalyptus around the bottom of her bouquet. The groom’s boutonniere was a white Rose, magenta purple Ranunculus, navy accent flowers and a touch of greenery.

I LOVE this photo! The backdrop is beautiful, the warm and cozy shawls they are wearing and the variety of dress colors makes for such an interesting and lovely photo. We simplified the bridesmaid bouquets to be a little different than the bridal but incorporated the same color scheme. To differentiate between their bouquets and Jessica’s, I reduced the size, changed out the white Roses for white Baby’s Breath and we did not include a Magnolia.

Beautiful flowers for my wedding that will last a lifetime! Erin was great to work with and found me the perfect floral colors to match my wedding colors. I am very glad I chose this small business and will gladly refer Love is Blooming to family and friends.

Terra Cotta, Rust and Neutral Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

When I was in high school, centuries ago, our school colors were orange and navy blue. My school was built in the 60’s, and apparently, those colors were a hot combination! Us enlightened youth though there was no way orange could be or ever would be a popular color again. I stand corrected! I am in love with this hot new trend of neutrals, earth tones and terra cotta, rust and oranges. Never would I have put them together myself, but we only need to look to nature for inspiration! Today’s lovely wedding photos were passed on to me by my awesome bride Brianna! She had a clear vision for her flowers and I was honored to bring it to life! The following photos are by Bob Durling and you can find him on Instagram.

Brianna’s bouquet was a loose handtied style with a mix of orange preserved Bunny Tails, off white Pampas, rust Roses, white Roses, white Bamboo, orange Eucalyptus, mini beige Pampas, and beige Baby's Breath. It had more pieces going vertical than you might see in a typical round style bridal bouquet, but that only added interest! The bridesmaid bouquets had the same mix of flowers, just in a smaller size.

Brianna also needed an altar arrangement go on this beautiful arch. It was nicely accented with draped fabric that tied everything together nicely for the decor.

These custom aisle arrangements were a great way to draw the eyes all the way down the aisle and also stretch the decor farther into the room.

Are you considering a color combination that maybe you never thought you would? Or maybe it’s a classic color palette that you’d like to put a new spin on? If so, custom silk wedding flowers might be just what you are looking for. Fill out the Free Bride’s Checklist today for a quote and to start the design process with me!

Awesome Altar Arrangements in Navy, Dusty Blue and White Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Alec and Bailey were interested in seeing some flowers in person to be reassured of quality, style and that we were a good fit to work together. Since the majority of my business is done online, it was fun to sit down with them and hear their vision. I showed them some examples of flowers, we talked about color combinations, and we were able to take some selections and come up with a winning combination of flowers and greenery. Let’s take a look at their custom silk wedding flowers, photographed by the very talented Katie Lindgren!

Here’s our sweet bride, Bailey! Her bouquet was a teardrop cascade style with 1 navy Magnolia, a few navy Ranunculus, dusty blue Dogwood, white garden Roses, white Hydrangea, white Dahlia, Skimmia berries, white Seeds, Lamb's Ear, Seeded Eucalyptus and some mixed greenery that worked with the bridesmaid dress color. Bailey wanted her bouquet to feature navy and dusty blue, but for the bridesmaid bouquets to be all white with greenery.

In their lovely sage green dresses, the bridesmaid carried round handtied style bouquets with white Hydrangea, Dahlia, and  Roses, seeds, and the same mix of greenery as the bridal bouquet. I love how it makes the blue really stand out even more!

Look at this stunning altar! The filtered light through the windows, the warmth of the wood arch, it’s amazing! Because Alec and Bailey were local, we didn’t have to contend with shipping, so I was able to a little bigger and badder on their altar arrangement. The corner piece was a mix of navy Magnolia, Delphinium and small accent flowers, dusty blue Dogwood, white Dahlia, Hydrangea and Roses and lots of greenery. I also created a piece to go on the opposite beam that included white Roses, navy Ranunculus, dusty blue Dogwood and more greenery.

Moving on to the reception! They ordered custom centerpieces made to drop into vases that their venue provided. We went with the all white theme of Roses, Dahlia, Hydrangea and Seeds and went with just the Seeded Eucalyptus for greenery. It’s a classic look that goes with any space. And since these are silk flowers, they are reusable and ready for your next event or even for another bride to use!

Erin was SO wonderful to work with for our wedding - I can’t recommend her enough! We went into the planning with a fairly open mind, as neither of us were well-versed in flower types or had a super specific vision at the time of our consultation. Erin is skilled at her craft and was able to make several suggestions with us being fairly open canvases, and she also showed us several examples of past work to help us decide what we’d like. She has a ton of flower types and colors at her disposal and is very willing to work with you to execute what you’re looking for. She was very flexible, communicative, and genuinely excited to help us make our day beautiful! Additionally, shortly before our wedding and after we’d placed our initial order, our layout changed a bit at the venue and we needed to add some additional arrangements last minute. Erin was super accommodating and let us know the additional ones wouldn’t be exactly the same but she’d make them as close as she could, and I honestly couldn’t even tell the difference! I also received several compliments on the arrangements at the wedding, especially for my bridal bouquet and the arch pieces - a few people even told me they couldn’t believe they were silk flowers! 10/10 would highly recommend!
— Bailey | Minnesota

They are so many options of how to do cake florals! Alec and Bailey opted to do 3 small clusters to go on top and at the base of each layer for a simple but stylish look.

Plum, Lilac and Ivory Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Purple tones in silk wedding flowers can be bright and cheery, but they can also be moody and romantic. Today’s custom silk wedding flowers is a great example of a little bit of both! Samantha’s wedding colors included plum, lilac and ivory with her bridesmaids wearing a lovely shade of lilac/wisteria. Samantha sent me some amazing photos of her wedding day from her photographers Elena and Bogdan from Red Barn Wedding Studio.

Here’s our lovely bride, Samantha! Her cascading bridal bouquet was a mix of lilac Cabbage Roses, ivory Garden Roses, lavender Garden Roses, plum Cosmos and Tea Roses, lavender Forget-Me-Nots, and a mix of greenery.

Look how awesome the colors of the bouquets pop against the bridesmaid dresses! Their round handtied style bridesmaid bouquets had the same mix of flowers as the bridal bouquet.

Erin was amazing! Everything was completely customized to how I wanted it to look and my flowers arrived in plenty of time for my wedding. We got so many compliments on the flowers and they look amazing in our photos!

I love these detail shots by Red Barn Wedding Studio! It gives a great close up look at some of the boutonnieres and corsages.

Dusty Pink and White Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Lucky us, we get to look back on a beautiful wedding sent in by bride Alycia! Her vision for her custom silk wedding flowers included dusty pinks and white with a mixture of greenery for full and lush and “natural” looking bouquets. Let’s take a closer look at the photos she sent me by her talented photographer: Blessed Day Photography by Megan Edmonds.

Alycia’s bouquet was a modified cascade style based on an inspiration photo she sent me. Even though it was a photo of an altar arrangement, it showed the shape and composition she loved with just the right ratio of flowers to greenery. That was extremely helpful for me to catch her vision. I suggested a variety of flowers in her colors and came up with a design plan. The final design of her bouquet included: white hydrangea, light dusty pink Roses, white mini Ranunculus, darker dusty pink Peonies, white Sophia Roses, white filler seeds, willow and silver dollar Eucalyptus.

The bridesmaids carried loose handtied style bouquets with the same mix of flowers and greenery.

I cannot recommend Erin enough!! Her professionalism, knowledge, and kindness made the process of designing the bouquets so easy. I sent Erin a Pinterest picture of what I had envisioned, and she provided me with flower and color options to make sure I got the bouquet of my dreams. Her timeline was spot on, coming in plenty of time ahead, allowing me to not stress about flowers! I received SO many compliments on them. And, they photograph so well. They look SO real! I now have a beautiful keepsake to remind me of our special day.
— Alycia | Maine

Those dusty pinks really popped against the blue dresses and navy suits!

What a gorgeous backdrop for our happy couple!

Bridal Bouquet Recreation in Silk Flowers for Vow Renewal - Reveal and Review

Sweet bride, Emily, reached out to me about recreating her beautiful bridal bouquet in silk flowers. She has an upcoming vow renewal and wanted to be able to carry a replica of her bouquet for such a special day. She sent me photos from J + S Photography and I got to work looking for the perfect combination of flowers to recreate her bouquet.

The round handtied style bouquet was a mix of cream Hydrangea, white and nude Roses, Baby’s Breath and Seeded Eucalyptus. Emily’s bouquet is a good example of getting creative to achieve the right look. In this case, I couldn’t find Hydrangea that were more in the budding stage, so I used a combination of Hydrangea and trimmed down Lilac placed in the middle to get a similar look.

I love the bouquet. It is exactly what I was hoping for and I am so excited to use it for our vow renewal as well as to just have it as a keepsake!

Cinderella Blue in Destination Silk Wedding Flowers Part 1- Reveal

Today, I get to share a Disney Princess with you!! Ok, maybe not a real princess from a royal line, but a bride who got to live the princess dream for her wedding day! Bride Alysya contacted me about custom silk wedding flowers for her destination Cinderella blue themed wedding. We didn’t go super traditional, but you’ll see from the photos that her bridal bouquet was both unique and timeless. Let’s take a look at the lovely photos from Jesse Giles Photography of Alysya’s big Disney wedding day!

Here’s our lovely bride Alysya! Her bridal bouquet was a round handtied style bouquet with a mix of ivory Cabbage Roses, white Garden Roses, white Seeds, blue Thistle and Heather and Seeded Eucalyptus. We also brought the blue in with satin ribbon on the handle of the bouquet.

The bridesmaids carried round handtied bouquets with a similar mix of flowers, but we didn’t include the Thistle that was just for Alysya’s bouquet. The touches of blue complemented their dresses perfectly!

My husband and I had a small destination wedding at Disney World and Erin provided our personal floral. We ordered my bouquet, two smaller bouquets for the bridesmaids, the grooms boutonnière, and two boutonnières for the groomsmen. Floral was tricky for our wedding due to Disney’s strict requirements and the fact that we lived in another state. After looking into many options we decided to work with Erin of Love is Blooming and I’m so glad we did! The floral arrangements were so easy to travel with. One reason that silk floral worked better for us was that we had a separate photo session inside the Disney parks two days after our wedding. Most brides that do this have to purchase two bouquets or request to have their real flowers freshened up for a hefty fee. My bouquet didn’t need that! I received many compliments and one of our guests started giving me tips on preserving my flowers when I had to tell her they were silk. The bridesmaid’s bouquets also made great gifts that the bridesmaids were able to keep and I will always be able to keep my own wedding bouquet forever! I highly recommend working with Love is Blooming.

Navy, Dusty Blue and White Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Local bride, Peggy, reached out to me for her winter wedding. She didn’t want to go any traditional route, and her friends were a great help in identifying flowers she would like to include. She sent me her inspiration photos and her colors, and I started making suggestions. What we came up with was a lovely mix of navy, dusty blue and white silk wedding flowers. Let’s take a look at the photos Peggy shared with me from her big day! Her niece, Jada Gutowski, was the photographer. You can find her on Facebook @jadafayephotography11.

Peggy’s teardrop cascading bridal bouquet was a mix of navy Roses and Peonies, medium blue Spray Roses, dusty blue Anemone, white Phalaenopsis Orchids, white Cabbage and Garden Roses, white Heather and Seeds, Stephanotis, and Longleaf and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus. The varying shades of blue with all the textures, the white accents and the touches of greenery made her bouquet a real show stopper!

Peggy had one bridesmaid who carried a round handtied style bouquet with the same mix of flowers. Her flower girl carried a clutch style bouquet. And since Peggy knew she loved rainbows, we added a custom mix of ribbon tails in a variety of rainbow colors. What a sweet touch!

Cake flowers are easy to forget about, but they are also easy to add to your order. Peggy’s cake was a beautiful three tier with frosting polka-dots and blue watercolor-like streaks. I created a topper and a cluster for the bottom layer that brought in all her colors and variety of the flowers.

Bold and Bright Spring Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Today’s bride, Kimberly, filled out the Free Bride’s Checklist and also included links to bouquets that had caught her eye. What I noticed right away were the bright colors, varying textures of the flowers and sunflowers! I got a little excited about her designs and sent her a bunch of ideas. Then, I looked at everything a second time and sent her a whole bunch more options. What we landed on is bold, bright and a little spunky. Let’s take a look at the professional wedding photos by Amy Galimore Photography

Kimberly’s bouquet was a loose and lush round handtied style bouquet with sunflowers, purple Hydrangea, magenta Cabbage Roses, orange and pink Ranunculus, blue Prunus, orange Cosmos, blue Dogwood, yellow Freesia, lavender seeds, and light green Roses. You almost have to look at it twice to see everything that’s in there!

The groom’s boutonniere was a mini Sunflower, purple Hydrangea, and pink and orange Ranunculus. We tied it off with twine to have a similar texture to the burlap that all the bouquets were wrapped with.

The lovely bridesmaids wore purple dresses and those bright tones really popped against such a rich backdrop!

Erin did a fantastic job with the flowers for my wedding! She was quick to respond and came up with beautiful combinations! She incorporated everything I asked for and more! Highly recommend!

We loved them so much that both my mom and I are using the bouquets as floral arrangements in our respective homes (another reason to go with silk!). Sunflower Silk Wedding Flowers- Reveal

I’m writing this on the official first day of summer and today is July 4th, but I happen to be sharing an example of wedding flowers from a fall wedding, last year. Take note of the fact that these silk bridal and bridesmaid bouquets could easily fit into a summer wedding. The colors are bright and vibrant, with a lush look that could work for either season! These images are by the talented Dayna Quimby Photography.

The bridal bouquet was loose handtied mix of Sunflowers, burgundy Dahlia and Peonies, orange Dahlia and Ranunculus, yellow Heather and touch of navy Delphinium. I added a variety of greenery that worked so well with their outdoor ceremony site. The bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet. We finished them all off with some burlap wrapped around the stems for a rustic touch.

I absolutely loved the detail on her wedding dress! And this back drop of a beautiful wooded area makes the dresses and flowers really pop!
