White and Hunter Green Bridal Bouquet Recreation - Reveal and Review

Today’s beautiful bouquet recreation tells a great story of what it takes to get things just right! If you have a simple bouquet, it’s a pretty easy process. But if there is a variety of flowers and greens in the bouquet, it takes some hunting on my part. And if your wife had bridal photos before the big day and carried a bouquet, then it takes some sleuthing to figure out which bouquet to recreate! Rennie reached out to me with some photos of his wife’s bouquet, looking for an anniversary gift. As I scrolled back and forth between the photos, I realized there were two different bouquets! A few emails later and we had it worked out which bouquet I was to recreate. Let’s take a look at this beautiful white and hunter green bridal bouquet recreation in silk flowers!

This classic style bouquet was a mix of white Garden Roses, Tulips, Hydrangea, Larkspur, Hypericum Berries, Ruscus, Silver Dollar Eucalyptus, Eucalyptus Seeds and Cedar Greenery finished off with a deep green Velvet ribbon.

Erin was a pleasure to work with! Very prompt responses and the final product was well worth the cost. Ordered a duplicate wedding bouquet as the original was not preserved properly. It now sits proudly on display in our home for us to look at every day!

Having a December birthday, I have a little bit of a chip on my shoulder about all things winter. But winter silk wedding flowers are starting to become some of my favorite! It’s almost easier to add a little bit of magic and shine like this wedding, or go a bit more wild and whimsical like this wedding, or maybe soft and romantic speaks to you like this wedding. Whatever you are warming up to, take a look at this great example of way to combine traditional “winter” elements to a bridal bouquet that is lush, full, textural and just so pretty!

Jennifer contacted me about recreating her custom bouquet, originally designed and created by Blue Ivy Flowers of Rossville, Georgia. And it was a stunner! A combination of blush Cabbage and Garden Roses, white Spray Roses, blue Thistle, white Hypericum Berries, Cedar, Cypress, Evergreen, Seeded Eucalyptus and Brunia Berries in a loose handtied style bouquet. It was important that we included all the elements as closely as possible (I couldn’t get as delicate with the Thistle as the original) but also duplicate the feel and style of the bouquet. With something as full and varied as Jennifer’s bouquet, that can be a challenge!

Custom Silk Bridal Bouquet Recreation Review

Sometimes there is no better way to tell you about why a custom bridal bouquet recreation in silk wedding flowers is an amazing gift than for me to just shut my mouth. So without further ado:

Working with Erin was fantastic. I contacted her for a recreation of my wife’s wedding bouquet for our first anniversary, and she wrote right back today. I sent her some pictures showing different angles and she totally nailed it. She was always very responsive and sent me pictures throughout the process so I could watch the bouquet come together and offer input. I couldn’t believe how quickly she finished the product, and when it arrived at my parents house (didn’t want to spoil the surprise!) I couldn’t wait to see it. I was blown away as were they at the accuracy of the finished bouquet. Erin did a great job.

Fall Wedding Bouquet, Boutonniere and Cake Topper Recreation in Silk Flowers

Technically it’s still fall here in Minnesota. But I’m currently looking at snow on the ground and my kids have already made numerous sets of snow angels in the last week. So I’m bringing us back for a hot second to that little glorious bit of fall we had before the white stuff started. Maybe where you are it’s still all red and gold and pretty. This post is a little bit fall and a whole lot of pretty.

Clare contacted me a few months ago to recreate a couple special arrangements for her one year anniversary. She sent over a photo of the original wedding bouquet and boutonniere as well as a photo of her wedding cake. Clare wanted a recreation in silk flowers of just a small cluster of flowers made to match the bouquet and boutonniere to use for their anniversary. With pictures in hand, I got to work.

Here is our lovely couple on their wedding day. You can see the beautiful variety of fall flowers in the bouquet and how that was mirrored in the groom’s boutonniere. There were Sunflowers, Hypericum Berries, orange and red Roses, Seeded Eucalyptus, and fall foliage.

We added burlap to both arrangements for that perfect rustic touch.

Bridal Bouquet Recreation in Silk Flowers Review

Erin at Love is Blooming did a great job reproducing my wife’s bridal bouquet in silk flowers for our fourth (silk) wedding anniversary. Erin was very responsive to all my questions, and we communicated seemlessly via email. The turn around time was amazing. The photos of the final product look GREAT, and I can’t wait to see it. I expect to get the silk bouquet two weeks earlier then promised. I will certainly get some big brownie points from my wife for this anniversary gift! Thanks Erin!

Bridal Bouquet Recreation- Treat Yo Self!

Katie emailed me a few weeks ago looking to have her bridal bouquet recreated in silk flowers. What I thought was awesome is that she was hoping to have her silk bouquet in time to celebrate Valentine's Day with her husband. Such a great idea and I love that she bought her bouquet as a Valentine's gift to herself and her husband. Treat yo self, right?

Her unique bouquet was filled with beautiful champagne Roses, blue and white Hydrangea, lime green Button Mums, green Hypericum berries, yellow Heather, Leather Fern, and these awesome twisty glitter twigs. So despite the weather being still cold and white up here in the north, I was able to track down these gorgeous spring/summer flowers and colors and put it all together to help Katie and her husband celebrate Valentine's Day together.

Take a look at her Valentine's bouquet recreation!

I was so in love with everything about my wedding day, my dress, my new husband of course and my flowers. Now after having my beautiful bouquet recreated I can look at those flowers sitting on my table and smile, remembering all the happy memories I have of my special day. They are a perfect match and I couldn’t have asked for a better recreation. Thank you so much!

Wedding Flowers in Fall Colors | Part II

As I promised in the first part of this series, I wanted to draw special attention to some of Jill's other fall colored arrangements. I just had to start off by showing you her beautiful altar arrangements

These stone lanterns spoke to me as I searched for the perfect container for her outdoor wedding.  And the best part is that I made the arrangements removable so that Jill can use the lanterns with a scented candle, fresh flower arrangement, or maybe even filled with fruit.  The possibilities are (somewhat) endless!  Can you tell I'm excited about these containers???

Ok, moving on.  So yesterday I mentioned that I included another keepsake in the mother of the bride's corsage.  Jill wanted to include a handkerchief into her mom's wrist corsage.  When you are working with Callas in a corsage, there isn't much "foof" so I had to get creative in how I could add, disguise, and appropriately embellish this wrist corsage.  I got down on my origami skills and... okay, I don't really have any origami skills, but I did have to fold, refold, and fold again until I found a way to make it pretty without being cumbersome.  Additionally, the hanky had some embroidery detail that I didn't want to completely lose.  I made sure to leave that visible and at the same time cover the stems - double duty!

We had it all on a pretty rhinestone bracelet and it looked stunning.  Thanks again to Jill for coming to me with such treasures!

Wedding Flowers in Fall Colors | Part I

I wanted to bring some color into today because I'm needing a break from the white outside.  We just got several more inches of snow dumped on us because it's still winter here in Minnesota and who knows when it will ever end!

Anyways, here are local bride Jill's beautiful fall bouquets using some more vibrant colors instead of the typical gold, burgundy, and sage.  Here we used Tiger Lilies, red Gerbera daisies, lime Button Mums, orange/yellow Calla Lilies, and Hypericum berries.

One unique touch for the bridal bouquet was that Jill wanted to include a family handkerchief that had special meaning to her and her family.  She didn't want to make it a focal point, so we tucked it in the back where she could feel it as she walked down the aisle.

Jill really liked the look of the Callas on their own, however when we put them together, they needed a little something.  We added a bit of greenery and voila, they looked complete!

The hanky in the bridal bouquet wasn't the only sentimental touch in this wedding, check back tomorrow to see how we included a hanky in a corsage.  A corsage!  (I promise it will be worth the read.)

Fall in New York: The flowers

My client Meta and I scheduled a consultation on one of her trips through the Twin Cities. She told me her plans for a beautiful Autumn wedding in New York -at a castle! I was super excited to take part in creating her arrangements. She wanted her color palette to be fall-ish but not drab in any way. I steered her towards the Jewel tones that would suit the occasion and feature the season as well.

We incorporated lots of different flowers to give the arrangements unique textures as well as a visually interesting mixture of colors. Blue Cornflowers, red Roses, orange Dahlias, orange Zinnias, gold Cosmos, green and burgundy Aster Mums, and red Hypericum berries were included in the different arrangements. A perfect combo of bright and seasonal if you ask me!
