Green and White Bridal Bouquet Recreation - Reveal and Review

Happy Wednesday! Today’s bouquet recreation share is a beautiful and classic style bridal bouquet recreation in silk flowers. Katie was such a gem to work with and provided me with some lovely photos of her bouquet, taken by the very talented Caitlin Sullivan. Contact Caitlin if you are looking for a photographer in the Indianapolis area. Let’s take a look at Katie’s bouquet!

Recreation Bouquet

Original Bouquet

This stunning white and green bouquet is a mix of Lilies, Roses, Baby’s Breath, Ruscus, Pittosporum and green Hypericum berries. It was a nice full bouquet in a round handtied style.

The bouquet was tied off with a simple white satin ribbon which was an easy detail to add to the recreation.

You did a phenomenal job! I truly love them and have them proudly displayed :)

I just loved these pictures of Katie and her parents so I thought why not include more of Caitlin’s amazing work? This day was obviously a very special one, which is why a custom bridal bouquet recreation in silk flowers is the perfect momento to honor that day.

Cascade Bridal Bouquet Recreation - Reveal and Review

I’ve got three lovely bridal bouquet recreations in silk flowers to share with you this week! Today I’m sharing a beautiful cascading bridal bouquet recreation. Kelly contacted me to have her own bouquet recreated along with her husband’s boutonniere. I loved the idea of doing both pieces, so I got to work! Kelly’s bouquet was a mix of pink and white Roses, white Lilies, yellow Heather, and navy Thistle. The boutonniere was a white rose with some greenery and a thistle bud.

Let’s compare the recreation (left) to the original bouquet (right).

Blending Themes Within a Wedding- Rustic and Tropical Silk Wedding Flowers

After 16 years of marriage, I can say with certainty that marriage takes a lot of blending of ideas, plans, and opinions. Sometimes we don’t realize that it actually starts long before you say, “I do.” So when you sit down together to talk about the vision for your wedding day, don’t be surprised if you both have different ideas. But don’t panic! Blending themes within a wedding isn’t as hard as it sounds! These silk wedding flowers are a great example of taking two different ideas and incorporating them into custom arrangements that fit the bride and groom.

Josie wanted a mix of Lilies and Calla Lilies and had some bright and fun colors as well. Her teal, orange and purple theme colors would be used in their centerpieces and she wanted to incorporate them in her ceremony flowers as well. The bridal bouquet was a mix of white Garden Lilies, ivory Calla Lilies, orange and purple Dendrobium Orchids and teal mini Phalaenopsis orchids. Her summer-y bouquet was a combination of all the inspiration photos she sent me. Though this bouquet looks quite tropical, Josie wanted to include a rustic element. Twine is a great way to accent any bouquet that you want to look a little more organic and rustic.

For the bridesmaid bouquets, we used the same variety of flowers, but in a handtied style. With their bouquets, the twine was a little more front and center, but still kept everything on theme.

For the toss bouquet, I scaled everything back, including using a different orange flower that fit the overall size of the bouquet much better.

The pin on corsages were all similar, with subtle differences to set apart the mothers, grandmothers and attendants. Again, the twine was a fun way to keep these bright and happy corsages a little more earthy.

Josie and her groom did a great job personalizing their flowers. One way they did this was to send me spent shotgun shells and turkey feathers for their boutonnieres. These accessories were a fun way to give a nod to the family’s hunting hobby. If you’ve been around my blog long enough, you may remember the last time I did some custom boutonnieres with shotgun shells.

Groom’s and Groomsman’s Boutonniere

Even the littlest bridal party member wasn’t left out. The ring bearer boutonniere might have been too small for a shotgun shell, but it wasn’t too small for a turkey feather!

Blending bright flowers with rustic accents isn’t a new idea. In fact I did it once before for Tracy’s Rustic Barn Wedding Flowers. Maybe you have a few ideas that you aren’t sure how to combine to make your wedding day truly unique. That’s where I come in! Custom Centerpiece Recreation in Silk Flowers

Kristine contacted me with a request I haven’t gotten before. She wanted a couple of centerpieces from her wedding reception recreated with silk wedding flowers. I loved the idea and was eager to help!

She sent me a couple of photos and gave me a few details from her memory and I got to work. Their wedding was small and intimate, with a roomful of friends and family. They had one banquet table with a large centerpiece in the middle and smaller ones toward the ends. The monochromatic arrangements consisted of Lilies, Spray Roses, Waxflower and Hydrangea. She had clear vases that they would go in, so I trimmed them short and covered the stems with a pretty lace. Take a look!

I was looking all over trying to find someone to recreate my wedding flowers from my table. I googled someplace to recreate floral arrangements
and came across loveisblooming. Erin answered my questions quickly. Pricing is very reasonable ! Erin was willing to work with me when I had some financial hardship. She also found one of my vases that I tried to find at Michaels and online. Absolutely amazing ! Every step of the way she has kept me informed, sent photos, and has been incredible to work with! I am so thankful for her! Now I can recreate my table in my dining room and relive my wedding dinner ! I will definitely use her again!

Royal Blue, Light Blue and White Silk Wedding Flowers

I’m not gonna lie, blue is a hard color to include in silk wedding flowers. Not many flowers show up in nature in a royal blue color, but that didn’t stop me from coming up with a design for April when she emailed me this fall. She sent me a swatch of the color her bridesmaids would be wearing, some inspiration pictures of bouquets she liked and we came up with a plan. I found some beautiful blue roses to match her swatch along with some light blue roses and touches of white for in the bouquets. Take a look!

The bridal bouquet included the royal blue and light blue roses along with some white lilies. Here are some photos of the details that really added some nice touches to her bouquet. One of the accents April wanted to include were some silver hearts, an element she was incorporating into her overall theme and decor. I found some lovely little silver and rhinestone hearts and added them throughout her bouquet. April decided on matching royal blue ribbon with a bow to finish it off and it looks amazing!

The bridesmaid bouquets included the same royal blue and light blue roses, but we added in some baby’s breath for a little contrast and texture. April wanted their bouquets to be a little different, so we decided on silver ribbon to tie them off.

Another look at the details of the bridesmaid bouquets—silver rhinestone hearts and ribbon bow to match the bridal bouquet.

Lily Silk Wedding Bouquet Recreation

Jordan emailed me photos of his wife’s beautiful wedding bouquet. He mentioned that he didn’t think it was the most wide variety of flowers, so we worked especially hard to get all those other details just right. Lilies, Alstroemeria and Roses were the only flowers in the bouquet, but a tropical mix of greenery and that amazing bow shaped it up into an awesome bouquet recreation!

Here is that beautiful, tropical beauty of a bouquet! Photos from: Edoo Photography

Erin’s work exceeded my expectations. My wife’s bouquet wasn’t as intricate as some I’ve seen so I was worried that a recreation might not have the “character” of the original, but Erin was able to match so much of the small details that it came out looking just like the real thing. Erin’s turnaround time was great, as was her communication throughout the process. I’m very happy with how it all turned out, as is my wife.

Wedding Bouquet Bling in Silk Flowers- Part 3

Here's another beautiful artificial silk wedding flower bouquet with even more sparkles!

This beautiful cascading silk flower bouquet is simple in design--just Garden and Calla Lilies--but it's breathtaking with all the bling!

One way to really up the shine factor was to include this awesome bouquet handle wrap that is just dripping with rhinestones. It's the same one I used on this and this bouquet. This custom piece is by Body Werk Jewels, check them out if you’d like to see more of what they offer. In the bouquet, I added a starburst broach and draped a rhinestone and beaded sash to really accent the shape of the bouquet. I wish you could see the bouquet in person because the pictures really don't do it justice!

What do you think? Too much? Not enough? If you like the design but want to put your own spin on it, contact me today to start designing your dream wedding flowers!

Destination Wedding Bridal Bouquet Recreation

I've gotten a number of requests for destination wedding bridal bouquet recreations in silk flowers. Perhaps it's because those flowers tend to be even more short-lived as many couples are hopping on a plane just a few days after their ceremony. With no way to save and fly home with a delicate bouquet, it feels like a lost opportunity to have that piece of those amazing experiences preserved. That's where a bridal bouquet recreation in silk flowers can save the day!

Kevin contacted me and I could see from the pictures he sent that the beautiful sand and surf combined with amazing Lilies and Orchids beautifully detailed a destination wedding. Here's the recreation:

And you can see the original in these stunning photos courtesy of Candace Jeanne Photography.
